Important Updates to Booking Your Appointment

Whether you’re a new or established patient at Center, all patients must book their appointments online, through our website. We are no longer booking appointments over the phone, by email, or through our KLARA text messaging service.

A Valid Credit Card is required to book your appointment. We do not charge you for Virtual Consultations or for holding your appointment time, but we do charge you $300 in the instance you cancel/move your appointment within one business day, or do not show up to your appointment. If your appointment is booked for longer than 30 minutes, you will be responsible for a $500 Cancellation/No Show fee. Please contact our team with any questions regarding this policy.

If you have any questions outside of appointment availability, please contact us via KLARA by clicking the blue button on the right hand corner of this screen.

As a paperless practice, we use KLARA, a HIPAA Compliant Texting Service, to communicate with all of our patients. It is vital to your patient care that you remain opted-in to receive our text notifications. We only use KLARA to notify you about important patient care related information. We never use this to solicit or market to our patients. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding KLARA and our texting protocols.

If you are booked for a Virtual Consultation with Nurse Lynn, please allow a 30 minute grace period surrounding your confirmed Virtual Appointment time as we are actively seeing patients in the office.

If you are booked for a Follow Up Appointment, please note that this is also subject to our Cancellation Policy.

If you are a new patient booking a laser treatment (e.g. Fraxel), you must send us images of your face, neck or other treatment areas via KLARA, so we can confirm you are a candidate for the treatment at this time.

You can book your appointment directly online. You will be able to see all up-to-the-minute availability through the next 30 days. You can click here to choose your appointment time.

We ask all patients to arrive 5 MINUTES PRIOR to their scheduled appointment time. If you are unsure about your arrival time, simply call or text us via KLARA for confirmation. Thank you for your cooperation.


Late Arrival / Appointment Forfeiture Policy for Confirmed Appointments

If you arrive more than halfway through your scheduled appointment timeframe, you may be subject to a $300 Appointment Forfeiture Fee if you are unable to wait until your Provider is able to treat you. We will do our best to help you receive your desired treatment that same day, but you may have to wait until time allows us to do so within the predetermined schedule. We highly encourage all patients to arrive 5 minutes prior to their appointments to avoid any issues with receiving their desired treatment.


Cancellation Policy for Virtual Consultations & In Office Appointments

If you are a patient with a confirmed 15-30 minute appointment, you are subject to our 1 Business Day Move/Cancel/No Show fee. This means that if you move or cancel your appointment within 1 business day of your confirmed time, or you do not show up to your virtual consultation or in-person appointment, you will be charged a $300 fee to the card on file. If you are booked for an appointment longer than 30 minutes, and you breach the cancellation policy, you will be charged $500. Our cancellation policy is strictly enforced. Sofie Pavitt - Deposits & Cancellation Policy

For any New Patient appointment booked with Sofie Pavitt, you are required to put down a $500 Deposit at time of booking, which goes towards the cost of treatment of that confirmed appointment. Any balance remaining will be paid for at time of treatment. Should you need to cancel or move the confirmed booking within 24 hours (or 1 business day), you will forfeit the $500 Deposit as your Cancellation Fee.

For any Established Patient appointment booked with Sofie Pavitt you will automatically be charged a $500 Cancellation Fee if you move or cancel within 24 hours (or 1 business day) your confirmed treatment appointment.

The Deposit & Cancellation Policies are valid for both individual treatment bookings, as well as treatment package bookings.


Cancellation Policy for Last Minute Cancellations Due to COVID-19

As we aim to protect the health and safety of our Providers, Staff, and Patient Community, we encourage patients to share with us if they are awaiting a COVID-19 Test, are symptomatic, or believe they've been exposed to COVID-19 as soon as possible before their confirmed appointment. If you are scheduled for a confirmed appointment and inform our team the day of your confirmed appointment that you are canceling due to a COVID-19 concern, you may be subject to a cancellation fee that will be put towards your next treatment. This amount will never expire and can be used towards any treatment with your provider. We will assist you personally in rebooking your treatment after receiving your negative test results, at your convenience. We encourage patients to take advantage of rapid testing if you do believe you've been exposed before your appointment and inform us of any feeling of COVID-19 symptoms, as soon as possible, if you have an appointment on the books. We thank our patient community for continuing to communicate openly with us, supporting our business in these challenging times, and understanding that we're doing our part in protecting the time and resources of all patients by upholding our policies.


Cancellation Policy for 1+ HOUR Treatment Appointments

If you are a patient receiving treatment that is booked for 1 hour or longer and you cancel your appointment within 48 hours, move your appointment within 48 hours, or do not show up to your appointment, you will forfeit your deposit in full. The deposit is non-transferrable and will not be credited towards future treatments. If your treatment did not require a deposit, you will be charged a $500 cancellation fee.

Examples: All Coolsculpting Treatment Appointments, SculpSure Treatments, Multiple EMSculpt Areas, Multiple EMTone Areas, Custom Facial + Laser Treatments, All Exilis Treatments except for Eyes-only Appointments, Liposuction, or various multi-treatment back-to-back bookings. Patient Forms

In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, our office no longer uses any paper forms for patients. All paperwork is completed on your mobile device, via KLARA, our HIPAA compliant texting service.

When you book either a Virtual Consultation or an In-Office Appointment, you will receive a text message with a link. Click the link and verify your identity, then you will see our messages and appropriate forms ready for your input, signature, and return.

All Patients must sign a “Patient Protocol Agreement” form before any confirmed appointment. This document outlines our safety measures set in place for our staff, providers, and fellow patients. This is a mandatory form that our staff will share with you via KLARA and remind you to sign and return before your appointment.


Tardy Policy

Due to COVID-19 Concerns, we ask patients to arrive on time or within a 5 minute window of their scheduled appointment. If you are arriving earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment, you must call the office at 212-433-3344 before entering the practice. If you are running more than 5 minutes late, you must call the office at 212-433-3344 and inform the team.

We are practicing social distancing and limiting the amount of patients in the office at one time. Your arrival time is a part of the protocol agreement you sign before your appointment. We are very grateful for your cooperation.

If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, there is no guarantee that you will receive treatment that day. Out of respect for the other patients and their scheduled time, we may reschedule you for another day to receive any necessary treatment.

Consultation Fees for Established Patients

Patients who have been previously consulted on a treatment plan and desire further consultation with their provider during a booked treatment appointment may be subject to a $300 fee for additional consulting. As our time is limited each day and we abide by a tight schedule to allow for all patients to receive their desired treatments, if you request further consulting instead of your scheduled treatment, you can be charged for this consult. If you decide to forego your scheduled treatment during your appointment altogether, you may be charged $300.


Deposits for Coolsculpting, SculpSure, or Lengthy Appointment Times

Any appointment that requires one or more hours on the books will require a 50% deposit in order to be confirmed. If you cancel or move your appointment within 48 hours or fail to show up for your appointment, you forfeit your deposit. The funds will not transfer to future appointments.


Payment Policy

Payment is due in full at the time of treatment. If paying by credit card, the card must be in the patient’s name. If not, then a credit card authorization form must be completed, signed, and returned to the Center staff in order to receive treatment.

Pricing Policy

Treatments and Product Pricing are subject to change at anytime. You will be quoted for the cost of your treatment during your appointment, before receiving treatment.


Financing Policy

We happily accept Care Credit here at Center.

If you intend to pay for your treatment with Care Credit, the Center staff must be notified before treatment. Please call us with any questions regarding Care Credit financing.  

Please message us or call us if you intend to use Credit Care financing so we can inform you of our terms and conditions.

 Consultation Fees with Dr. Cheryl Karcher

Dr. Karcher offers Complimentary Cosmetic Consultation for Injectables, Laser Treatments, Liposuction, and Body Sculpting.

For any Medical or Acne Dermatology needs, there is an approximate $300 Consultation Fee. This includes dedicated time with the Doctor, treatment planning, and fulfilling any necessary prescriptions. The Consultation Fee will be processed at your appointment.

If you join us for a Cosmetic Consultation and require Medical Dermatology care during your Cosmetic appointment, you may be subject to our $300 Medical Dermatology Consultation fee.

New Patient Policy

All new patients will meet a Physician or Physician Assistant prior to treatment.


Photo Policies.

•All Patients are required to have their photo taken as part of their medical record, per appointment and/or treatment. We use these photos as a tool to help track your journey and maintain clear and accountable progress throughout your individual process, as a patient, at Center.

•Patients must remove makeup using wipes and/or face wash provided.

•Patients must remove accessories: earrings, necklaces, or anything that could distract from your treatment area.

•Patients must pull back their hair, gently, away from the face. We will provide you with hair elastics and headbands.

•Depending on your treatment, we may ask for another set of photos before you leave your appointment.

•All patient photos are a part of your medical record and are kept secure. No patient photos are ever published or shared without direct consent from the patient.





It is important to note that if you take any blood thinners, they may cause an increased risk of bruising. Please avoid these medications if possible up to one week before treatment. Please discuss with your physician before discontinuing any of these medications. Medications to be aware of and possibly avoid are: Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Naproxen, Vitamin E, and Turmeric. If you bruise from an injectable treatment, please alert our team as we may be able to treat you with a complimentary laser treatment to help reduce the appearance of your bruise. Please note, we must see an image of the bruise before booking the laser treatment. We will request this from you through KLARA.



We recommend abstaining from alcohol 24 hours before and after an injectable treatment as it can make you more susceptible to bruising, bleeding, and swelling after an injection. We also recommend abstaining from coffee and exercise for 2 hours prior to an injectable treatment.



Please remember to come well hydrated for your treatment.



Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow enough time for numbing. Please avoid using Retinoid or Retinol products one week prior to treatment. Come with a clean face and please bring a visor or hat to wear after treatment.



If you have a history of cold sores or have been on Accutane (Isotretinoin) within the past year please let us know. Please come 75 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow enough time for numbing. Please come with clean skin. Men should come clean shaven in areas of desired treatment (face, neck, chest). If you regularly use a Retinoid or Retinol in your skin care routine, stop using those particular products one week prior to your Fraxel treatment. Please bring a hat or visor to wear after your treatment. Be prepared to stay out of the sun for one week after treatment. We will provide you with further instructions upon booking.


Excel V & Laser Genesis

Please avoid sun tanning or using any self-tanning products for 3 weeks prior to your treatment. Please be prepared to wash your face upon arrival prior to your laser treatment. Men should arrive clean-shaven.


Microneedling with PRP Therapy

Please arrive 75 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment to allow enough time for numbing. Please arrive well hydrated and please be sure to have eaten a snack or light meal prior to your arrival. Come with a clean face and please bring a hat or visor to wear after treatment.
