Whether you’re a new or established patient at Center Aesthetic & Dermatology, all patients must book their appointments through our website. We are no longer scheduling appointments by phone, email, or KLARA® text messaging service. Appointment Modification Policy
If your appointment is canceled, rescheduled or modified with more than 24 hour notice from appointment date (excluding weekends and holidays) you will not incur a $300 Appointment Modification Fee.
Rescheduling, canceling or modifying with less than 24 hours notice from appointment date, or not showing for your appointment, will incur a non-refundable fee of $300. This policy is strictly enforced. Please reach out to our Concierge Team if you have any uncertainties about your upcoming appointment or are uncertain about what treatments you want or need.
New Cosmetic Patients
The first step in becoming a cosmetic patient at Center Aesthetic & Dermatology is to schedule your initial consultation with one of our experienced providers. During this time they will evaluate your concerns, help you understand how to best treat them and develop a customized treatment plan based on your goals. The consultation fee of $300 is fully applied to the cost of treatment with Nurse Lynn and Dr. Cheryl Karcher. Nurse Jacqueline and Nurse Victoria currently offer complimentary cosmetic consultations.
Deposits are required for all scheduled cosmetic consultation appointments with Nurse Lynn and Dr. Cheryl Karcher. This deposit of $300 is fully applied to the cost of your treatment. Cancellations with more than 24 hour notice will be refunded in full. As a paperless practice, we use KLARA®, a HIPAA Compliant Texting Service, to communicate with our patients. It is vital to your patient care that you remain opted-in to receive our text notifications. We only use KLARA® to notify you about important patient care related information including appointment confirmations. Please reach out to our Concierge Team if you have any questions regarding KLARA® and our texting protocols.
If you are requesting same day laser treatment (e.g. Fraxel & Excel V), we require that you send clear, well-lit images of your desired treatment area via KLARA® as your chosen provider will need to confirm your candidacy prior to treatment.
All new patients will meet a Physician or Physician Assistant prior to treatment. This complimentary introduction is to discuss your medical history which ensures that you are an optimal candidate for your desired treatment.
New Medical Dermatology Patients
If you would like to start your medical dermatological care at Center Aesthetic & Dermatology please schedule your initial exam with our board certified health care provider who specializes in medical dermatology, Dr. Cheryl Karcher. During the examination you will be evaluated, diagnosed, a comprehensive plan of care will be developed for you and treatment may be offered for your symptoms. The initial skin exam fee is an out-of-pocket expense of $300. Any medically necessary procedures excluding the initial skin exam may be an additional expense for which you will be quoted prior to treatment.

As an established patient you are always welcome to schedule an in-office consultation without same day treatment with your provider to develop an updated treatment plan involving new concerns. Reconsulting with Dr. Cheryl Karcher or Nurse Lynn will incur our consultation fee of $300 which is fully applied to the cost of treatment. Follow-up appointments are subject to our Appointment Modification Fee which requires a 24 hour notice if any adjustments are to be made to the appointment.
Arriving after your scheduled arrival time may cause you to incur our Appointment Modification Fee if you are unable to wait until your Provider is able to find additional time within their predetermined schedule. As we operate on an appointment based schedule, and need to respect the times already committed to, your wait time may be lesser/greater than estimated and the Provider reserves the right to decline reaccommodation if necessary. We highly encourage all patients to arrive at their stated arrival time to ensure the optimal experience Center Aesthetic & Dermatology strives for.
Center Aesthetic & Dermatology accepts American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, Care Credit and cash. You will always be quoted prior to treatment and payment is due at the time of service. If paying by credit card, the card must be in the patient’s name. If the patient is not the cardholder, a credit card authorization form must be on file from the authorized cardholder. This form can be provided to you by our Concierge Team. If you intend to pay for your treatment with Care Credit®, our concierge team must be notified before treatment. Please contact our Concierge Team for information regarding Care Credit® terms and conditions or to request an authorization form.
All Patients are required to have their photo taken as part of their medical record. We use these photos as a tool to help track your journey and maintain clear and accountable progress throughout your individual process at Center Aesthetic & Dermatology. Photos are a part of your medical record and therefore secured using HIPAA compliant technology. Photos are never published or shared without direct written consent from a patient.
Patients may be asked to remove makeup, accessories or anything that could distract from photo consistency. Patients may also be asked to secure their hair away from their face for which we will provide hair elastics and headbands.
Depending on the treatment, we may ask for another set of photos before you leave your appointment.
Sofie Pavitt - Deposits & Cancellation Policy
For any New Patient appointment booked with Sofie Pavitt, you are required to leave a deposit of $500 at time of booking, which goes towards the cost of treatment of that confirmed appointment. Any balance remaining will be paid for at time of treatment. Should you need to cancel or move the confirmed booking within 24 hours (or 1 business day), you will forfeit the $500 deposit.
FFor any Established Patient appointment booked with Sofie Pavitt you will automatically be charged a $500 Cancellation Fee if you move or cancel within 24 hours (or 1 business day) your confirmed treatment appointment.
The Deposit & Cancellation Policies are valid for both individual treatment bookings, as well as treatment package bookings.
