What is SculpSure?
SculpSure is the world's first FDA-cleared laser treatment for non-invasive lipolysis of the abdomen, flanks, back, inner thighs, outer thighs, and submittal region. It uses controlled, light-based technology to contour the body and is designed to safely and effectively eliminate unwanted fat cells. SculpSure uses a flat, non-suction applicator to bring the temperature of the fat up to 107.6 to 116.6 degrees Fahrenheit, a destructive temperature, while keeping the skin safe and cool.
What Can I Expect During My SculpSure Treatment?
Your SculpSure treatment should only take around 25 minutes per area. Your provider will place the SculpSure laser heads, which are held in place by a web belt, over the treatment area. Throughout treatment, you will feel alternating cooling and warmth.
Does It Hurt?
Some patients may experience mild discomfort. If you find the procedure to be too uncomfortable during treatment, there is some wiggle room. We can reduce the intensity of the treatment, to an extent, while still remaining effective. You can also request a “cool blast” during treatment that can instantly help with discomfort.
How Many SculpSure Treatments Will I Need?
Better results may require multiple treatments, which should be spaced six to 12 weeks apart. Some patients see measurable results after three weeks, but most take six to eight weeks to see a change. In addition, some patients see a satisfactory result with one treatment, but most patients require two to three treatments for the best result.
Are There Any Side Effects?
With some laser treatments, skin damage can be a concern. That is not the case with SculpSure. The laser penetrates to the subcutaneous layer of skin and melts the adipose fat. The skin's surface is not affected, so there is no risk of skin damage. The technology is designed to provide cooling to the surrounding skin during the heating cycle, protecting it and minimizing any damage.
